Now you ask yourself, why Morii Memories? What is that about? And thank you for asking!
Morii is a Japanese expression that means the desire to capture a fleeting moment that cannot be captured.
When you look up the word morii, you might also find the latin “version” called memento mori. Its mening might be a little bit more dull. The short version is that life is short so remember to make the most out of it.
We all know that life is short, and sometimes you just wanna press pause in certain moments and just be present. It could be during a nice dinner, where all the flavors are just perfectly balanced. Or maybe the food itself it colorful and inviting. It could be during a hiking trip in the mountains, when you reach the top just in time to see the sunset.
We travel the world looking for memories. Still find our self standing behind a camera waiting for the world to hold still. For every click we are trying to pause our life and make this fading moment last a little bit longer. These photos is our reminder that life is just outside the door. There is so much more to than work, making dinner, cleaning and folding laundry.
