You have seen the blog post and the Instagram profile, but who are we?
Simone is 26 years old and work her daily job as a chef. Stefan is 35 years old and work with import of Asian food products.
This makes a couple who loves to cook, experimenting with different kinds of food and most of all, eat.
And how do you get inspired to new recipes? You travel, see what the world has to offer! Not only on the food level, but also on the cultural way. Go see something you dont see everyday. That is what we see as freedom.
But how did you guys meet?
We met back in 2019. Stefan was a bass player in a band back then and I (Simone) were just some random girl in the audience. We met but didn´t even had a real conversation. When we hit 2021, we met each other again at a concert and something sparked! Shortly after we started dating and really quickly, we figured out that we shared the same passion. The passion for travelling, food and Japanese culture.
What about your trips?
We had many conversations about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. So shortly after we booked our fist trip to Prague between Christmas and new years eve. We spend 5 days together and from that trip, we just knew that we were meant to travel together. You can read about awesome things to see and do en Prague, right here !
Three months after, we booked our next trip to Amsterdam for 3 days. We wanted to stay there much longer, but work got in the way. Again, we saw so many cool attractions and just enjoyed the city and each others company. We do have some recommendations for Amsterdam. You welcome 🙂
We got home and again, we were hungry for more adventures.
We wanted to go away over Easter, so we decided to join some of our really good friends for a trip på Sweden. Our friends was borrowing a cabin in the woods for 3 days, and it was LOVELY to just get away from everything and stay in the middel of the forrest.
Finally it was summer and in august we had planned a Road trip through Germany. For the first time, we should be on the road together for 18 days and what a party we had ! We had a great playlist with songs we could scream along to, we had some games and besides that, some great talks and views from the car. Read our blog about hidden gems in Germany.
We got home and i started a new job, so we were busy with life the next couple of months. But then we hit december again and we wanted to celebrate new years eve in another country. We were doing our research and choose to go to to Vilnius in Lithuania for a week. Oh boy this place ! We have a lot of recommendations from this place, this was an amazing experience and we will be back some day!
Again, life happend and we had to press pause on our trips. So we didn´t travel for 6 months, not outside of Denmark. We missed it so much, so we tried to plan something we could do when we once again had some days of in the summer.
Ina blink of an eye, it was summer and we haven´t planned anything. So we packed the car and drove towards the German border. From there we should roll a dice to figure out where to go. The dice told us to drive through the Nederlands, so we did and we had an amazing and exciting trip.
We talked about starting a YouTube channel, but we know it takes time to be good at and its a job the requires a lot of time. time we dont have. Which leads us up to this day. We sat down to talk about the future.
After that talk, Morii memories were born as a website and an Instagram profile. Morii sounds strange for many people, so if you wanna know what it means, check out our article about morii right here 🙂
